Just watching the wheat grow

Dad's had some good rain at just the right times, so his wheat is looking pretty good, although a farmer's daughter knows better than to say that too soon. Who knows what the weather will do from now until harvest?? But what a perfect chance to take my son's picture, so here's a comparison- the first being about two months ago, and the second was taken this weekend. Wheat is my favorite crop- maybe that's why I love the color green so much. It's the prettiest right before it turns the golden color. It's really tall and this beautiful green color- so pretty. Now you all know my favorite crop in case you get one of those e-mails with the survey to see how well you know someone. You think you'd ever come across that question? I may make one up on my own and add that. And another tid bit of Molly trivia- one of my favorite sounds is a car or pickup driving on gravel. Random, huh? -but I love that sound. It makes me think of the country and an old Ford pickup- the type with the trailor on the back that you see in the Hidden Valley commercials hauling veggies and fruits. So all that to say, we've loved watching the wheat grow.
