So, here's a walk-through of the following pictures.
In the first few, the boys are sporting their adorable new outfits from Mimi. In the one you'll notice Douglas' fake smile, or the one he does when you say, "Say cheese!!". That's what we get from him. And then he decided that he needed to add a little "pop" to his attire by adding Mimi's sassy boots. Wow, how all kids love putting on everyone's shoes. If your child doesn't do that, I'd be really suprised. I don't think I've ever been around a kid who doesn't like to do it. So on to the next ones. If you're an avid reader of our blog then you know we've had crazy amounts of snow. Well it's finally gotten to the consistency that we need to build a snowman. I think Poppy and Doug IV may have had a little more fun than the boys, though. I might add that I was videoing as well as taking pictures, and I'm proud to say that I've still got some quick moves in me. I dodged snowballs the whole time thrown by the two elders, and I came out dry. That's right!! DRY. And then the final picture is the one I'm most proud of, and it's not the fact that Mimi is there, although I'm always proud to be her daughter. Zoom in a little bit, without being inappropriate, to Douglas' bottom. Underwear!!!! Yes, a very exciting thing around our household is the great job Douglas has done being potty trained. He's a pro and now goes on his own. He's such a big boy, and he does it all by himself. Everything. All of a sudden I'll hear, "Mommy, I went.....". I'll go in and find him on the pot, hunched over admiring his success. It's a wonderful new phase in the life of a parent.
